Two Future Shocks for 2000 AD
Check out my stories 'Relict' and 'Smart Home' in Progs 2279 and 2280!
This week my work was published in 2000 AD for the first time! ‘Relict,’ a Future Shock I won the 2021 2000 AD/Thought Bubble writing competition with, is in this week’s Prog 2279, illustrated by Lee Milmore and with letters by Simon Bowland. It’s about an immortal time-hopping mouse who sets out to retroactively save humanity from the apocalypse. It goes well for some species, and poorly for others. Lee was the winner of the art competition, and his work is spectacular:
As if one Future Shock wasn’t enough for my little heart to take, I wrote another story that will appear in next week’s Prog! ‘Smart Home’ will be published in 2000 AD’s next Regened all-ages issue, Prog 2280, which will be available on May 4th. It’s about a kid who accidentally achieves robot sentience in his Roomba, with artwork by the wonderful V.V. Glass and letters by Annie Parkhouse.
More murine action
There are 3 weeks left to get a copy of New Rat City Part 2! Also, the jewelry that my friend SM Chong (aka UnusualGestures) designed and created just for the campaign is still available: you can get a sterling silver replica of Felicia’s Central Park Pound key from Part 1, or a sterling and turquoise pendant that looks like ~the slime~! They’re both one of a kind and made in NYC.

This is very cool, Honor! Happy to see your work being recognized for how good it is. Keep it up.
